One of the greatest things I have loved about becoming vegan and being interested in cooking and experimenting with recipes and ingredients, is the endless possibilities of combinations of ingredients you would never expect would go together.

Like spinach in smoothies.  It's a daily affair.

Like cocoa in chili.

Like pinto beans = pesto. Yes it's as good as she says!

Just had to reblog this! Please substitute Maltitol syrup for honey, and Xylitol for the sugar to conform to our Anti-Cancer diet. I am about to try these! Let me know if you do, and how you like them.

  1. J and I made these last night. I used Xylitol sweetened Maple Syrup for the honey (increased amount by 1 Tbs.), and Stevia instead of sugar (3 packets). I sprinkled top with toasted pecans before baking. They were terrific! We kept ‘tasting’ them until 1/4 of the pan was gone! I topped the last few bites with Nature’s Hollow Berry Jam.. YUM!
